Tackling Poverty One Suit at a Time... |
Initiated in 2020 as a ministry of Cross & Crown Lutheran Church, Well Suited for Work aims to tackle the challenges of poverty within our local community one suit at a time. Through strategic partnerships with local workforce development programs and social service providers, we join jobseekers and underemployed professionals in achieving their career goals by providing interview attire, professional accessories and coaching.

Our Suiting Program
Our Suiting Program is fully volunteer led and equips individuals with a professional outfit and matching accessories for an upcoming interview or new employment. Each fitting is facilitated by a trained volunteer knowledgeable of industry standards and employer expectations. Our referral process provides key information such as sizing and style preferences, giving volunteers helpful information to pre-select a variety of options for each fitting. Our retail-like environment fosters an experience similar to that of a boutique without the stress of high prices and incorporates the knowledge and experience of a fitting volunteer to provide support, tips and even a bit of coaching. Our goal is for each client to walk away from their fitting appointment with a pre-laundered and pressed outfit that can be worn right off the hanger.
Preparing for an interview or new employment can be intimidating enough without the added stress of both having and knowing what to wear. Our Suiting Program aims to equip individuals with the clothing and confidence needed to meet their employment goals.
